Nice impaired proof Finn! Always a fun find! I find it funny that it's often easier to find a proof in circulation than a much higher minted specimen that would fill a hole in the album. I found a 1968S impaired proof that's a DDO. What are the odds of that?

Quite slim, I would think. Did you post that in the nickel hunting thread recently? It sounds familiar.

Hi Numisma - correct; it was in my write up. I haven't taken pictures of it yet, but I think I've narrowed it down to two choices. Slim may be an appropriate label.

Still looking for my first RDV006 Transitional cent...so I don't have anything from 1988 worth sharing. Maybe a foreign coin for the date, but I'd need to dig and photograph. Hopefully someone can kick start us.

I'll get us moving again:

1988:

How-Far-Back-Can-We-Go?---CRH-Edition!-We-Need--1872-

Set this one aside a couple years ago when I thought I could do a 1971-Present set in high MS.

1987:

How-Far-Back-Can-We-Go?---CRH-Edition!-We-Need--1872-

Obligatory, of course.

I found nearly all my coins, except the silver dollars, while CRH. Not sure if my postings will ruin all the fun of this project.

1985 MAD cent. Not found in a roll, but it did come from circulation recently.

That's a pretty nice MAD, Numisma! I have never found one with the legend off the strike.
