I have a few but only was able to get pictures of 2 of them. First is this Shield nickel. The best of my worn coins is one that I honestly almost thought was a blank it is so worn. The only reason I was able to identify it at all was when I compared it to a 2 cent piece a friend had due to the same size, I realized I could just barely make out lines from the shield on one side, and on the other side the ribbon at the base of the wreath. It is so worn in fact the scans I took tonight make it appear worn totally smooth but holding it at an angle with my phone I was able to get some detail to show.

Wow, that 2 cent piece is a serious lowball!

Long time with no contributions from me ... alas too much work and and not enough time. Quote: Would anybody like to opine as to the date? Nice photos ... the date of the dime is by my view not discernible ... hence a basal state coin despite the obvious denomination markers on the reverse. Since my last check on this thread a long time ago ... I have managed to find and certify a few new lowballs ... admittedly an under appreciated way to enjoy the hobby. One example: 1853 Arrows & Rays Liberty Seated Half - PCGS PO01 Enjoy this honest lowball.

I think you'll all enjoy seeing this. I looked up the person who I bought this from, he owns a coin-rolling business so this (and a lot of silver coins) probably was pulled from circulation recently. It's yet another thing I saw recently that was just too stupid to pass on.

Interesting. It does not look real to me. It could be the photo, but it has that cast fake appearance.
