Fully concur with the appreciation for vermontensium chain cent ... such a lovely coin looking quite worn out!

Appreciate the contributions to this thread ... I truly enjoy honest lowballs ... and enjoy the numismatic challenge of finding them.

LOL at Lucky Cuss contributions ... those would be treasures indeed if identifiable by date/mm.

I will humbly contribute one more coin ... a key date in the Barber half dollar series:

1897-O PCGS PO01 - Population 1/0

Plenty more ... but holding back to view what others have to contribute.

Regarding the 1887 Morgan, I was just guessing based on what looked like a little round mark in that vicinity. I'll take your word for it, though. Nice quarter, too.

I don't know if there's really enough there to determine. With the quarter, though, would it still grade PO-01 with that amount of detail on the obverse? The reverse could easily be poor, but I don't know about the obverse.

Here's my 1797 large cent :) I still remember coming across this during high school at my LCS. He'd just set out a pile of cull large cents he had just acquired, but hadn't looked through yet. I pulled this and felt like a champ! ...Still do!

How did those coins possibly get that worn unless they were in circulation well over a century?
