I've been wanting a proof Seated Half for a while, but even a low grade (PR-60 or PR-61) could easily take a good chunk of my savings.

Note -- these are old film photos (from the 1990s or before), since the lighting for the obverse image was too harsh when I took the digital replacement photos some months ago.

They look good to me. I often prefer film photos, they're just expensive to take.

I only took film photos because good digital cameras were not yet available. The biggest problems with film closeup/macro photography are the lack of live view for accurate focusing, and lack of immediate feedback so the photo can be taken again with adjustments. All my film coin photos are fuzzy, some moreso than others. White balance is often poor, and many of these photos are not exposed well.
