I found this in a roll. It's in amazing shape in comparison to others. I've seen them sell online in mint state, just curious if this has worth. Notice the reeds are very prominent and show from above.

I don't mind keeping something like that, although I do not think it can be called mint state. Mint state does not equal shiny!

There is also a scratch on the obverse. (hair to rim) That would take it down to AU grade.

I would agree with an AU grade on this quarter.

I wasn't suggesting this coin is mint state at all, just pointing out that I've seen 1965 quarters selling online that were in mint state, therefore I noted there's some sort of a market for them. I see that line from the hair that you're nothing but when I went back with the loupe to view it, I can't find it under 40x magnification, so not sure what that is unless it's from taking pic through the loupe. I did find a small die clash between the 1 & 9 from the neck down to the 1.
Rest in Peace

It's worth keeping simply because it is rare to find any coin that's 50 years old in decent condition actually in circulation.

It is not worth keeping if you are hoping it is worth much more than a quarter.

Careful. Cigar boxes with coins in them seem to breed, even if you only have one!

I'd keep it. As noted, finding a 50 yo specimen in AU or better is a keeper in my book. Nice find!
