Regarding your hesitation on sending coins in for grading.
I have used both companies, and pleased with the service of both.
Considering you being fairly close to Paris, why not make a trip down there when they have their graders flown in. That combined with a platinum membership and getting 8 free grades (not sure if that is applicable to Europe though) would br a good idea. You get them back in 3 Days, no shipping fees back and forth.

Yes, it is quite pricy, but I think more and more European collectors see the advantages of having the coins graded and authenticated. As the market has grown with the internet, more and more transactions are made withought getting to hold the actual coin before the purchase is made.

If the coins you have are expensive and rare, why not take the fees and see them as a part of your investment in the coin instead for as an expense.
