In addition to my coin collection I collect Canadian tea memorabilia. I have a cheque for Red Rose (Saint John, New Brunswick) and figured there must exist one for King Cole Tea (Sussex, New Brunswick).

I found one completed on ebay for USD$5

I might email the seller and see if he wants to re-list it and if (s)he takes debit.

Anyways if any of you have one would you care to share? I am digging cheques lately.

My figurines are pretty much done but I am looking for the tea cards and albums. Only one I have completed is the space age set.

You know what I just learnt they made? Back in '67 their was a double decker bus that drove around the Montreal Expo sponsored by Red Rose Tea and the toy car company "Corgi" made a toy version of it.

It is 2 AM in New Brunswick but once I get some sleep into me I will fire you off a message smallcentguy.

On a more related note I found some cheques for sale. They don't say King Cole Tea but rather their parent organization.

The Barbour promissory notes are fairly common, but still nice. You can generally find them cheaper than that, but it does take some looking since no one really puts them out since they rarely have a clue as to what they are. I'll see if I can scan a couple ... just been so busy (not ignoring your email either!).

I figured you were not ignoring my email, 'tis the season to be busy.

That cheque is nice. The one I found is from the 40s with no tea chest doodle on it. I will keep an eye out for one next Florencville/Woodstock/Fredericton show and of course at the Sussex flea market.

I will have to start a cheque thread someday soon so I can post all my dumb questions. Paper money and cheques have quite the learning curve and the cheque/bond section on Stamp Community is pretty barren.
