I have been looking for places to buy silver as close to spot as I can either online or in the Boston area. Are there any obvious places to look, or avoid? Want to find somewhere reputable but also not overpay.

My Sister lives in Massachusetts also, and when her husband passed, she dropped off his Safe at my place in NY to break open as he never gave out the Combination to the Safe.. Long story short, members here that specialize in Morgan Vams had helped me to ID some 45 Morgans that I sent to ANACS & sold to my Brother as my sister needed cash... I am holding Ten 8oz .999 Silver Rounds (80 ounces) plus 17 Morgan dollars (12.75 ounces), or 92.75 ounces of Silver that I have been putting off selling due to my procrastination, but is available at current Spot... If interested, message me if you're interested in the lot... Just have to work out how my Sister can be paid prior to me sending the Silver... My Niece lives in Framingham and maybe I can work something out between her and her mom and if everything goes as planned, you can pick up the Silver at her place... I think the town my Sister lives in is Millbury, MA that I'm guessing is about a hour from Boston.. P/S ~ my brother said he was interested a few weeks ago, but I have not received any reply since and my sister asked me a few days ago to Please try and sell them...

Local coin shops or ebay is where I buy mine. I am in Salt Lake.

I like my LCS or Provident Metals or APMEX for most of my purchases

Try ebay, I just sold off several Peace dollars. In my opinion it went very well for the buyers. There are good deals out there. Liverpool

My LCS was selling common 90% for $12.75 per dollar face Saturday. I picked up 6 AU walkers for $38.25, and a full strike AU 1925 Peace for $20. ebay is almost always well above that, typically $2 per coin higher on BIN free shipping cull walkers, and $10-15 higher for AU's. I prefer to pick and choose at the LCS, both for lower price and to get full weight coins.

Coin shows, flea markets, etc. But I usually don't buy, just trade.

I typically buy from Provident, JM Bullion, and APMEX. Which ever one of these three that has the best price.

eBay, Provident, APMEX, coin shows and a local coin shop. But I am a very small potato when it comes to silver / gold bullion.

I'm a JMB guy. You can always find something for less than $1 over spot/oz. My LCS just can't compete for volume purchases, but I do get my Maples, ASEs and Phils from them to support my local guys.

I've bought my silver through... http://www.silvertowne.com/ = They are located in my state and I want to support in-state businesses... https://www.1stamericanreserve.com/ = NRA affiliated and I also like to support pro 2nd Amendment businesses... http://www.propertyroom.com/ = Sometimes, I can get a deal and I won't buy off ebay even though I know there are lots of honest people that sell on there... Not worth the risk IMO... Use to have a local coin shop but he was closed more than he was open and didn't have much to choose from...
