50c Doubled Die Obverse / DDO FS-101 Or 102?

Agrippa Pillar of the Community United States 663 Posts	Posted 12/08/2015 01:14 am I LOVE searching for Kennedy DDOs! Easy on the eyes and when you find a good one, the doubling is obvious! I found this one last night. While I have found many that have either "Trust" or "In" doubled, I've never found one with both at the same time like this one. Does that make this FS-101 or FS-102 or is there another number I should be considering? Report this Post to the Staff

coop Bedrock of the Community United States 62064 Posts	Posted 12/08/2015 09:34 am The 102 is not as strong as the 101. I don't have an image of the 101, but yours is stronger, so I might be 101. The 102 show the doubling more isolated on the IN area. Report this Post to the Staff
taclough Valued Member United States 84 Posts	Posted 12/29/2015 2:34 pm I do not believe it is either the FS-101 (CONECA DDO-004/DDR-002) or FS-102 (CONECA DDO-006). Our DDO-009s are currently into James Wiles for verification so I will ask Larry to look at this thread for his opinion. Report this Post to the Staff

atrox001 Valued Member United States 311 Posts	Posted 12/31/2015 11:44 am I think taclough is correct your half dollar would not be the FS-101 (DDO-004/DDR-002) or the FS-102 (DDO-006). Those two are both ODV-003's, yours is the ODV-002. I think yours looks like the DDO-009...note a marker for the -009, a northeast die gouge from behind the head under the R of LIBERTY, on the attached photo of the DDO-009.
