"Mining the depths of junk" tonight.

Picked up a junkish lot of IHC's, 6 coins for $16 ($2.66 a coin.) A "worse than scudzy" 1860 C/N, 1864 Bronze No "L", 1885 Fancy 5, 1886 Type 2, 1889, and a 1906.

Of this lot only 2 looked even remotely worth a fate other than filling holes, the 1902 and the 1864. This is the 1864. Seller's holder says "Fine", I think more like "Good" and maybe cleaned in the past. You tell me. At least it looks better than the 1860. But for $2.66, I'm not going to nitpick.

Looks like a F-12 or a F-15. Pics are a bit blurry. I think you did great on the lot. Something I would have bought JUST for that 1864. :)

Thanks CHD. It's nice to "win" once in awhile.

I cant tell if any of the LIBERTY is visible...so G-4 maybe VG-8 if in hand you can see some of the LIBERTY letters... but you got a great pickup with the 1864 coin...nice job!

If this was a G-04 or a VG-8, the reverse would be wiped and have pretty much little to no detail in the shield.
Rest in Peace

I'm at VG as well, but too blurry for me to pick a number. Not a Fine with feathers like that, imo.
