Since my 12/9 post, I have handed out $747 in half dollars in this time at our farmers markets and bill paying. Sunday, I had a boy want to buy two half dollars from me for his dollar so he could keep one and use the other. Apparently I am a coin ambassador! All but three of the customers that got half dollars in change liked them and I get lots of positive comments about the usage of the half dollars.

About $70 at grocery stores.
About $35 at USPS.
About $25 in Red Cross buckets.
About $25 in fast food places.
About $12 in tips.
I have exactly $500 in halves left.

Since my 12/20 post, I have used out $1177 in half dollars in this time at our farmers markets and bill paying. Again the last weeks, I have had a adults and children want to buy two half dollars from me so they could keep one and use the other. Lately I get quite a few back from customers spending them on our produce and I do not count that circulation. I like it.
