Got some junk silver for 12X today at a local shop. Mix of Franklins, Walkers, and Barber Quarters(heavily worn but thought that these were too nice for the junk bin).

13x for more recent, 14x for full rim Walkers, Standing, Mercury, and Barbers. But I got a sweet deal (client of long standing), I got 6 full date full rim Standing (25-28) and 2 decent Barbers (08O and 16D) at 12x.

LCS bumped me up from 12:1 to 13:1 today on some Mercuries (and an 07 O Barber dime). Why he had been selling under spot to me at 12:1 I didn't ask.

However, I had picked out a 1922 British florin, a 1951 Mexican 25 centavos, a nice 1936 British penny, and a 1916D ... 2 pfennig. He threw them in for free.

Plus he sold me a 1906 Canadian dime for $1.

LCS stated he was selling at $14:1, but now that price is below melt, he's probably up another dollar tomorrow.

LCS was selling junk silver for 12.8x and Morgans for $20 and Peace for $17. Not bad in my opinion.

That is a good deal. Spot price on 35 quarters would be about $111 right now...I'd buy them if it were me!
