I found this CRH last night and coundn't believe my eyes, it show all the markers from coppercoins.com and the ear and beard are somewhat smoothed down from age but can still see them. I will post the pictures in the order of coppercoins.

Sorry bud, keep looking tho these doubled dies that carry decent premiums really are not easy to find hence the premium-takes a lot of searching and some frustration but if you love it then its still enjoyable when you find other error/varieties along the way. You'll find em,good luck!

Here are Coop images of the 1984-1DO-001 as you can see its a very strong doubled ear in comparison

Also note the markers are only important if the doubling or variety is present to help verify the die number

Note how the lines follow the contour of the ear, but in a different location. Also note the beard is also affected? (note on lower full image you can see the second beard below the jaw)

Thank you coop and OcalaFlorida for the clear pictures of a "Double Ear" LC. I have looked at a few pictures on the web and still wasn't quite sure what I was looking for.

Thanks Coop now it will take me an hour to check one roll of Lincoln Cents looking at possible doubled ears. Seriously all the WAMs, RPMs, n now all these doubled ears will have me checking each coin thoroughly. Great info though. Thanks.

Just right click on the image and same them for you educational purposes. That way you don't have to search through the threads to find them again.
