Hi everyone! Is a very nice community that you have here.

I am trying to get some help identifyng this coin... well first of all. Is this a coin or just a piece of metal? I bought it some years ago in a bunch of coins in a numismatic place in San Jose Costa Rica for like fifty cents. Some guy told me on internet a couple of years ago that it looked like an indian empire coin... or something like that, I donīt remember that well and I didnīt keep looking for more info about it. It looks like silver but I am not sure... If you look closer there is some green rust on the edges.

Any kind of info or help to identifying or letting me know that is just a piece of metal will be very appreciated

PS. Sorry if my English is not understandable, itīs just my second language and I dont get to much practice whit it. haha!

Can you get an accurate size and weight?

I do not think it is silver, on account of its weight. My first impression from the color was gold, but it could be a heavily debased silver of about 20-35% fineness.

Green around the edges would indicate verdigris, or oxidation of the copper in the coin--this is very common on bronze coins over 100 years old.

Unfortunately I do not recognize your coin offhand. It appears to have a bow and arrow surrounded by (Greek? I think I see a delta at about 7:00 on your first pic), and I can't make out what the other side is supposed to be.

If I am correct, that would most likely mean one of the Hellenistic kingdoms of the near east, ca. 300-80 BC.

To be fair, I am not getting good vibes from the overall "softness" of the details on this coin--it may be a cast fake.

it can be fake if you see a line on the rim of the coin. that means it could be casted
