I might have gotten a little mesmerized by the back...hope I didn't overspend! What are your thoughts on the grade and is it TPG worthy?

...sorry about this one. but the coin appears to have been polished. along with the rim damage. dont think it has any collector value other than melt. the overall flatness across all the high points and the shiny surfaces are a dead giveaway along with all of the scratches. look for this on future purchased to avoid them

This coin has problems as noted above but it is a much better date and as such is probably worth $30 or so.

I'm seeing a 1927-D not the S you mention. Grade looks like AU-50 details, cleaned with a rim bump obverse.

Obverse looks cleaned don't know about reverse.

Just that there's so many scratches. My experience is that even far less scratching than on this one makes a coin "cleaned" and ungradeable by TPGs.
