Thanks wildfire :) @ pocket change - I've been collecting silver art rounds for about 2 years and have recently got into nclt from the Royal (british) and Royal Canadian mints. I have to admit, the x for x coins lured me in.

Quote: I don't understand why anyone serious about the hobby, would want to sell such a beautiful case. It makes a great display for coins I have to say it took some mental wrestling but it boiled down to a)storage space; and b) already having more than sufficient display cases from previous sets/series. And at the end of the day, I'm a coin collector not a case collector so when something has to give it's the case that's going!

The case as I mentioned is nice but you are going to miss mash a wack of 1 oz. and 1/2 oz. coins together and all series had a decent case already,

I got this case too. All I buy is X for X coins or the uncirculated sets that are also X for X basically. In other words, I have 0 1/2 oz or 1 oz coins. The Voyageur coin is too big too. What do people put in this if everything comes with a case anyway?

I might thing about this one or similar, to put 2001-2007 Special Maple Leaf + some Privy SMLs (i sure that it will not fit oversized 2008-2012 Raindrop Maples), and for the 1/2oz - the 2011 and going Maple Leaf Forever series. But I actually have the separate cases for this stuff ....so if to think wisely - do not need a case, in order to think, which coins have to buy to fill the slots.

The ongoing $50 for $50 fit perfectly in the 1/2oz slots, while The Majestic animals fit into the 1oz or the ongoing Maple leafs with the privi marks non of those came with a box.

Most coins don't come with a case until recently. I remember the Duck coins set that came with a case and people went crazy for it. Same with the Groups of Set case that was worth more than the coins themselves. Ever since then the RCM had the policy of including a case with most subscriptions. So a lot of people have 1 oz coins that came in those maroon cases. I must have at least 50 of the coins with maroon cases.

Thank you for the pictures, Justsilver. Even the cardboard box, which the MC wooden box packaged in, kind of "premium". RCM didn't bother to mention (and this good, no need additional lettering), that the 1oz slots are probably for common RCM standard of 38mm coin in RCM capsule. The RCM 40 mm coins (100for100 for example) probably will not fit. Also, for sure will not fit air-tites type H (which people commonly use for bullion SMLs and other bullion coins that do not comes in capsules).

You are welcome, Silveroid. I am glad of owning this elegant Coin Case even if no coin inside. lol. I do collect RCM's premium Coin Cases such as Lunar Lotus Coin Case. I bought 4 pcs on secondary market around CAD$200 each. Lunar Lotus Coin Case & MC's Premium Coin Case look very familiar on the outside with different design inside but I love both of them. For sure I will keep them for long term enjoyment.

I got my case yesterday and was excited to put the $50 for $50 coins in the 1/2 oz tray and the $100 for $100 in the 1 oz tray but you are correct the $100 coins will not fit unless they are taken out of their capsule, so back in their respective boxes they go.

The problem is that most of my coins are 1 oz so the 1/2 oz tray is kind of useless for me. What coins would fit in the 1/2 oz slots?
