I have $5 in this coin. How did I do?

PLEASE note that the reverse had a MAD, causing weakness in the bottom of the reverse (the high side of the die) and the respective spot on the obverse. There is no damage or cleaning. Verdi-care might be a good investment in this coin.

Nope. It'll be staying in my type set for a long time.

I think you did great. The Eagles look great on the coins. My FE has a far worse Eagle on it and I payed 29 dollars for it.

Nice Flying Eagle cent, and can't beat having only five dollars in it.

Thank you for all of the kind comments. I figured this would be a high VF or low EF. If it indeed is an AU, then that is a pleasant surprise.

I see it as exhibiting at least XF-45 detail, probably lower-end AU. Nice coin but I'm not convinced about the originality of the surfaces from these photos, of course you can probably get a better idea of the originality in hand.
