I'm trying to add some nice colonials to my collection. I've wanted a Fugio for awhile but couldn't find what I wanted at my price range. I just won this on ebay for $275 from a reputable dealer. I think I did ok and it looks better in hand but wanted to get some expert opinions. This is a Newman 9-P variety. Thanks.

Solid Fine+, & well bought. Pointed rays, cinquefoils, STATES UNITED; Clashed obverse & reverse, planchet void obverse. Reverse die cracks and a Cud. Good color.

Attribution; agree, Newman 9-P. (R4) -- vermontensium may be along to correct me if I have erred, but rev. crack from O in ONE through ring 10, and cinquefoil positions look correct for a 9-P.

Not an expert on these but I will say it's an attractive coin with even and honest wear and no signs of significant corrosion or porosity that's so common on these. Nice color and eye appeal.

Thanks for the feedback so far! My budget for this coin really only allowed me to look at lower details grade specimens of this type. I couldn't believe it when I won this auction for a much better coin, I figured it would sell for quite a bit more. In my opinion it is gorgeous in hand and I'm having a hard time putting it down. I'm also enjoying searching back through the Numismatist online back issues for old articles on Fugios :)

I don't know what a good price is for this, but if its authentic I would say it looks like something I would purchase. Nice coin.
