Then again, look at the 2009 S$20 Montreal Canadiens Goalie Mask coin. Issue price was $79.95, and now it sells for over $1000.

It's a wave happening and some larger RCM dealers are probably with holding stock waiting for this to happen, we all know which dealers use this tactic, ride the wave, the 2 oz. voyageur coin is different, most of the units are in good hands as I put it, collectors who rarely sells. At last weeks CAND show a couple dealers with lots of NCLT was actually looking to purchase this coin.

Thanks for info about 2oz Voayageur coin, John....cause it looks like (but you right - they in good hands), that it already forgotten. Members from the other forum report, that still manage to load Pysanka coins fat the POs and resell. Also rumor started about Pysanka series with 6000 mintage, but no info at RCM. Will they provide wooden box for the series?

There's no good reason that a seasonal item has become such a sensation. A series of Ukrainian Easter Eggs? It's going to a long wait until 2017 if that's the case! Next year a 2nd of a series can be released by RCM to celebrate the 126th Anniversary of Ukrainian settlement in Canada!

I don't try to understand why certain coins that I consider ugly and flop become profitable and hot. I just glad I got one from GW and will flip it to buy coins I like. :)

But when you placed and order at GW, was it "hot"? How did you know that the CAD 114 that you've put on ugly coin, will bring some profit?

well, I was gonna buy it thecoinshoppe and it sold out before I pulled the trigger. Then CA increased its price. I also called RCM boutique and they also sold out. GW still offered 5% VIP at the time and it also happened that there were two other coins I wanted to buy so it worked out. It's always a gamble with these things but I figured I covered some of my bases. Plus, I happened to make a few buck from selling two of the 2oz GITD Northern Wolf Coins. Worse come to worse, loose a few buck.

Quote: Next year a 2nd of a series can be released by RCM to celebrate the 126th Anniversary of Ukrainian settlement in Canada! No, it will not be so cool. But next year the 2-nd coin will celebrate the 1-st Anniversary of the First Ukrainian Pysanka Coin. Btw, looks like this kind of small victory of the Ukrain over Mr.Putin...I never heard that RCM issued some NCLT for Russian Federation or other country from that region.

Sure, the 1st Anniversary of the 1st Pysanka, that would be the answer. There's always a way to solve these pesky issues. And neutral that we be, I noticed RCM is advertising a 2014 Russian Nesting Doll, a "Matryoshka, although they didn't mint it. Obviously not a popular item or it would not be sitting on the shelves.. The "case" is very creative though. http://www.mint.ca/store/coins/1-oz....Vra-WPBfOrU
