Thank you for updating... Worth to people who still want to buy for themselves, and doesn't worth for resale. Still available and together with shipping it's near CAD 200. Btw, how come that batch of coins have no sleeves? Or it could be batch on top of 4000? Looks like this coin was commissioned by APMEX

My guess they were sent to NGC didn't meet 70 grade and normally would be blown out but luckily this turned into a hotish coin.

Quote: My guess they were sent to NGC didn't meet 70 grade and normally would be blown out but luckily this turned into a hotish coin. yes, true, this could be the situation. But interesting, that the sleeve only gone (for all the group) and the cases remain. Another question - does somebody really trust and care about these "NCLT grades" levels?

Graded NCLT is one of the only hot and profitable markets left. A raw coin that retails $70 can sell for $300+ in NGC PF70 if someone needs it in their registry

The Pysanka would fit in a PCGS slab? I'm having a hard time imaging how that could be.

Thank you for the link! Very creative on the part of NGC as it appears those 4 small clips to secure a typical round coin have been removed.

There is one on auction on ebay now. Apparently the grades are coming back low if you send them to a TPG but I haven't seen the population reports yet.

Actually this coin is the reason I joined this site. A friend of mine who paints psanky knows I collect coins and asked me to see if I can find one for her at a decent price. In looking for the coin I found this site. Unfortunately she does not want to spend more than $175 (to be honest she really does not even want to spend that much) so I am keeping eyes open. The good that comes out of it is that I found a new resource to complete my circulation coin set. Once I get 50 post I'll definitely be posting a want list. BTW thanks Silveroid for you APMEX posts, I am now going to be checking APMEX regularly for her as well as send her the site.

Seems like most of this coin is hoarded for flipping by both dealers and individuals, wait a few months the buzz will go away the price will drift back it's a special themed coin and 4000 mintage.

John100, Modern Coin Mart has every Canada S$20 Silver Commemorative coin graded by NGC and resells them. They have been doing this for over two years. In that 2 year period, the Pysanka is the first coin they COULD NOT secure directly from Mint. MCM did not get this coin, despite their best efforts, at the release price ... So they have none. Which is insane. And says something about how successful this coin is

It would be nice to get but I would be concerned about this being a price bubble. I think that the RCM may well issue a series of these. If so, usually the second of the series is a lot cheaper.
