I purchased the first in 2002 for $40 while still in High School (the oldest coin I had for many years until my 1810 Half Cent I purchased a year later), while for the 1833, this came as a result of an ebay purchase that contained three common VF/XF dollars for a total of $94, and after selling the three dollars that I already had in my collection for a net of around $63, in essence I got this half for just $31. Can't hurt to give the 2nd one a bath, either. VF25 on the first, XF40 on the 2nd.
