1973 Doubled Die Obverse / DDO -01 Or New? Coop Any Thoughts On This One

seal006 Pillar of the Community United States 1915 Posts	Posted 02/07/2016 12:58 pm What I am not seeing is seperation lines. To me that is the PUP on the 1973 #1. Especially on GOD WE and LIBERTY. Now as far as being a new one? I have really never concentrated much on ones that show a little extra thickness or very slight distortion. To me they are really not woth the second look without being distorted to the point it makes it quite noticeable or has some form of seperation such as a line or notch. Report this Post to the Staff

Any markers that match? http://www.coppercoins.com/lincoln/...ie_state=mds (class 6) 001 is a different class of DDO. http://www.coppercoins.com/lincoln/...ie_state=mds (class 5) So it is not that one for sure. My coin has northwest to south east die scratches on the reverse which only show in the bottom southwest field and in the tops of the bay's, a couple very strong ones above the statue, which leads me to believe that this one could be something new. P.S. This would be the first double die I have ever found and maybe a new discovery Report this Post to the Staff
