Extra thickness and distortion on the bottoms and in "GOD WE" there are no die scratches on the obverse but the reverse has some heavy thick die scrathces around the statue and near "ONE" what do you guys think thanks kris
What I am not seeing is seperation lines. To me that is the PUP on the 1973 #1. Especially on GOD WE and LIBERTY. Now as far as being a new one? I have really never concentrated much on ones that show a little extra thickness or very slight distortion. To me they are really not woth the second look without being distorted to the point it makes it quite noticeable or has some form of seperation such as a line or notch.
Thanks Coop, I just checked the markers on the 002, but nothing. My coin has northwest to south east die scratches on the reverse which only show in the bottom southwest field and in the tops of the bay's, a couple very strong ones above the statue, which leads me to believe that this one could be something new. P.S. This would be the first double die I have ever found and maybe a new discovery
