I really like the look of a Mint state (or Proof) barber, though I don't own any right now. They are very hard to come buy in a decent price above a fine.

What, like these:

What-Would-Be-A-Nice-Wow-Piece-Around-$1k? What-Would-Be-A-Nice-Wow-Piece-Around-$1k?

What-Would-Be-A-Nice-Wow-Piece-Around-$1k? What-Would-Be-A-Nice-Wow-Piece-Around-$1k?

What-Would-Be-A-Nice-Wow-Piece-Around-$1k? What-Would-Be-A-Nice-Wow-Piece-Around-$1k?

Each of these set me back around $1000-1100.

And yes, I think an early 20th century proof set would be a wonderful idea! I'm just missing a proof Buffalo nickel to make my set complete (I do have a proof Liberty "V" Nickel, however, so I guess you could say my 20th century proof set is actually complete depending on how you are defining it).

Looking at all of these gorgeous coins, especially those proof Seated Liberty beauties, I actually caught myself saying, Oh, Wow!" out loud to myself!

I guess I got wrapped up in the spirit of this thread.

Paralyse I think that ebay seller owes you some commission... It sold within 20 minutes of you posting the link I wonder if someone lurking bought it?

I've been looking into Carson City Halves and quarters lately, those get pricey pretty darn quick. Makes my CC set idea tough to complete.

maybe a nice ancient au with pretty toning, having a 2000 year old coin that looks like it was minted 10 years ago has lots of wow potential
