I have a few local branches that are great about ordering and selling me boxes of halves. Speaking with the tellers, I've learned that there are a couple other customers who CRH halves as well. I've never crossed paths with another coin roll hunter in the wild - until today. He was in front of me in line, and when he got his box, I said a friendly 'hello', and asked him if he'd had any recent luck. We exchanged a few pleasantries about looking for old coins and shook hands, and that was that.
It's probably silly that it's taken so many years to cross paths with another CRH'er at a pickup bank OR at my drop bank. Maybe I'm just less frequent - searching about a box per week...
Do you guys cross paths with others who CRH?

Twice in the last eight years. Once when a guy had just poached one of my two boxes of halves. He goes out to the parking lot, searches, comes back in to dump, and buys more rolls from the box. Really ticked off the teller, she cut him off after $100 worth.
Second time was an elderly gentleman that would buy his 10 rolls per week, search in the lobby, and dump on the spot. Rinse, repeat.
When I listen to LED ZEPPELIN...so do my neighbors... Roll hunting since '77 Dirt fishing since '72

I don't think we're in the same state, but we've got the same guys!
One clown who kept buying, searching in the lot, dumping, and buying got one of my favorite banks shut down.
There's also a bank I go to where an old man comes and searches rolls almost daily in the lobby, a few rolls a day, coin by coin. I can tell if I beat him to the bank that day if there aren't roll wrappers in the trash.

I have never ran across another half CRH. I have ran across a penny CRH at my dump bank, but thats it. I have been told by my bank that there are a few others that CRH halves but just never seen them.

When I picked up my second bank about 18 months ago, I stopped in two weeks after I started with them and the assistant manager pulled me out of line and asked me to wait in her office. The guy in front of me was asking to get halves from the, and they denied him, they did not want me to carry out 2 boxes in front of him. He did not have an account but wanted them to order boxes every week they told him they could not do it.
I feel truely lucky to find this bank when I did.

I've come across 2. One is an old man I saw picking up halves at a BOA. The other my friend Mr. Clack ran into that was doing a ton of halves every week.
