Am at an auction today and there is this little beauty for sale. Anyone have thoughts on the grade? Looks authentic to me looking at NGC photos too. Thanks! *** Moved by Staff to a more appropriate forum. ***

I think I see a spiked chin (though the obverse photo is angled away, so I can't be sure). That, plus other details, has me thinking this is Cohen variety C-8, and I would grade it about VF20. Looks nice and problem-free, at least from these photos.
Raw, I would expect it to sell around $100-150. Certified by PCGS or NGC in a problem-free holder, $200-$250.

about 2/3 details on hair and most leaves are separated on the reverse

I'd put full retail as it is at about $125.00. Nice low VF with no apparent problems that would put a detail grade.

OK kind of had to battle for it, but was able to get it for $95. Needed one for my type album and this one didn't seem problematic at all!

As long as the surfaces are as nice in hand as they appear in the pics, I would say $100 is a fair price to pay for this coin.

Nice, and it does look, straining your eyes a bit, like a spike-chin variety. F12 to F15 would be my grade. I think I can also see a series of parallel lines at the border in front of the neck which is also typical of one of the 3 spiked chin varieties.

Yeah sorry not the best photos the lighting was pretty bad at the auction house. Can get more photos in tonight to help with those talking about the spikey chin!

Agree VF-20 or so and most attractive.
