Hi,
As I mentioned on another post. I purchased a couple of RPM's from ebay so I can see them first hand, just like with the DD's I got from Sudz. I am hoping that you all can confirm the RPM for me and that I didn't get "taken". I just can't tell.

I was thinking it could be 1955S-1MM-009
| S/S EAST (MDS)- but I do not have any of the die markers.

I have my pictures here and is the auction that I bought.

http://www.ebay.com/itm/12137281358...RK:MEBIDX:IT

the auction close up of the MM is accurae to what I see with the eye loupe, I can't seem to capture it on the USB microscope. So I am trying to match up some die markers so I know which one it is on coppercoins website.

Thanks

I can't tell the rpm part from the images..

far from a expert on rpm's

But the mintmark location is not the same as auction picture the coin in your link and your coin look at the yellow highlighted part

the sellers also sold 100 of them ?

looks like normal cent from what I can see

maybe some others could chime in

if you search ebay via members on side you should get tons of rpms and they are correct 98%

neither your coin or the ebay coin could be a 1955S-1MM-009 as the mint marks are too high or close to date

your coin left -------- ebay coin right .

Another tip don't bother hunting markers - just look for the rpm part, once you found and can clearly see it, use markers to confirm the die #

by doing this you might just find an unlisted or new varieties

I see nothing on either image from above that looks like a RPM. On the 009 there is a spread on the upper serif and curve. On the ebay coin there might be a minor split lower serif. (But the image is so small to tell for sure what is going on)

I agree with what everyone has said. If you want to purchase good RPMs on ebay I would reccomend ebay seller chugly1909. John is a great RPM enthusiast like myself and always has great coins.

Also Brian Rebar sells on ebay. Another seller named Scott also has a good assortment.

Oh, and Eric Axtell, who has his own website is great as well. When you have been around a while you get to meet and know some great people. There is this one guy, Richard Cooper, he is THE BOMB. I have learned as much from him as Chuck Daughtrey and Bob Piazza.
