2014 P Sand Dunes Quarter - Coin Community Forum

CoinCents Pillar of the Community United States 3656 Posts	Posted 02/29/2016 12:03 pm Hey all, This quarter has been driving me crazy. There is a tiny little marking on the side of one of dunes. I have had it on my desk checking it with others for a couple of weeks. Any ideas on What the is it? Die Chip - seems too small though? A die gauge possibly? No others I have come across have it. Well, maybe it's just me still be pretty new to the hobby. I think the other thing with this quarter is that it doesn't usually have anything wrong with. Thanks for the compliment on my photos, I have been working hard trying to improve my photo skills and I appreciate you noticing them. coop Bedrock of the Community United States 62064 Posts	Posted 02/29/2016 6:56 pm One thing to consider is that if there were hub doubling on a coin, you probably would catch it. You are noting minute differences in the design. When you find a doubled die, you will know it instantly. Your eye is trained! Report this Post to the Staff
