You must not be looking for errors/varieties. But one LWC is better then zero.

Most of the time when I find a circulated Wheat cent, they are usually damaged.

Sounds about right I find 8-20 wheats per box if I get customer wrapped but live in retirement community area, but regular bank wrapped rolls I maybe 1 if lucky a lot of times none.

I agree with John1 there are most likely some varieties in there, for me when I started getting bricks, I found next to nothing but after a few months of searching them I started to find more, The more I became familiar with varieties the more I began to find.

take a look at this shield cent reference on wexlers site for a year you gather up and you will maybe find a few matches.

I take out the nice looking coins and put the into groups by date

then search that date after looking t images on wexlers some more experienced members can pull out a bunch I will find a few I am pretty sure I missed some of the minor ones

but its good fun enjoy the hunt

By far the variety coins out produce LWCs you will find. Dozens of variety coins in a brick relative to a few older coins. But hunt what you like.

I find it hard to spot such small errors like the small DDO and DDR I just don't see the small things to look for

Your setup is key. Investing in a large magnifying lamp and an inexpensive microscope will help. But eye fatigue is real. Pacing yourself is key. Some folks have quite elaborate sort schemes and equipment. They can turn several boxes in the time I can do one. But I'm content with the pace.

Nyfireman,
this might have fit in the CRH section. And there is no need for an oops post since you can edit your own posts

I agree it is a good idea to save all in good condition, when you learn more about what to keep an eye out for(as you have been doing), then you will have top stock.

a large magnifying lamp

What is that?
