got a question for you all.
my girlfriend just bought me a 1832 Half Cent for valentines day and she payed 200.00 dollars for it is an au55 and I haven't got a chance to get a red or blue book yet I'm just wondering if it was a good deal or a bad one?

PCGS (one of the most expensive) lists their 1832 AU-55 at $190. So she didn't overpay too much.

that's great to know that means I got only the 1832 quarter to go to get the complete year set of coins in AU-55

Don's World Coin Gallery lists a minimum price of $200.00 for uncirculated coins in that series, $70 in XF. Also, the 1832 mintage is low compared to some of the other years, so it would seem she didn't do too bad. Post a picture!
