I would love to get people's opinion on this 1909-S I just picked up. It's absolutely gorgeous. The pictures don't do it justice. Came in an old capital holder for those who are interested.

I am not gold grading expert, but my opinion is MS 63, if scratches are on the holder, not the coin.

I am seeing rubs on the high points and light hairlines so AU55 as long as the hairlines are very minor. This date is expensive is MS but priced almost like bullion in circulated grades. The luster looks great.

AU-55 and might pull a details grade from the wipes on both sides.
Rest in Peace

Ug. Rats. Gotta agree with IndianGoldEagle. All those kazillion tiny parallel scratches on both obverse and reverse is a result of mechanical cleaning (rather than dipping).

It's a beautiful lovely AU-55 and I'd just love to put the Brillo pad to whomever did that cleaning.
