I have different coinsets included Susan B. dollar. The coins are goldlooking (not gold) and I have coins which are grey/silver looking. Is this happened while minting or did the color changed through the years because of plastic or something else?

I want to try to keep the theme of my questions centered around Susan B. Anthony dollars' best features.
My question has to do with the rarity and values of these coins which may or may not involve colors.
I have several hundred of these type coins and wish to know which characteristics and features I should look for on samples that would bring the greatest amount ROI (return on investment).
Also, which web site would be most appropriate to find this type of updated data?
