JC and I have decided to expand the COC site once again and include "Spike Heads" into the mix. Our definition of "spike Heads" is that it must be on the obverse die and have a die crack from the rim into the head; it can be any denominational coin and either U. S. or foreign.

JC will be the one for this section, but we both can except submissions. JC has already added some to the site and you can find them by accessing the menu on the left side of the home page

Here is an example. You can look on COC as well. There are few already listed there. Basically a skull crack that extends past the skull to the rim.

Nice BJ - expanding interest! Several folks here like to collect the more interesting/complex specimens with cracks. This should be fun!

I thank you all for your enthusiastic replies. If you do have a spike head that you would like to see listed, just PM me through this site and we will work from there.

I have lawest's submission and if Sudz and 11997755 send me permission to use their images, I can put those on the site as well.

Thanks.

See what happens when I take a day off. I get 2 days behind. I spent the day at the Moonlight Mint where the Colorado Springs Numismatic Society had its 50th Anniversary Metal struck by Daniel Carr. I'll start a new thread on the trip when I catch up.

Yes, . I will need images of the full Obverse and Reverse of the coin. A close up of the full length of the Die Crack. It's very important the images have the correct orientation for our WEB site. Also note any markers you find and a close up image/s of these. If you can email them it would help me to keep things in order.
Thanks,
JC
