I saw it on ebay referring to a Buffalo nickel and thought someone would explain it to this newbie.
Thanks!

A Buffalo nickel being called a krony? I have no idea what that's supposed to mean. "Krone" (plural "Kroner") is the currency of Denmark/Turkey, but I've never heard of a Buffalo nickel called a krony.

EDIT: It turns out kronykoin is the name of the seller. He signs all of his items with "*krony*".

I believe there is an ebay seller who uses the word krony in all his titles. I have always assumed that is his seller name.

Perhaps it is...but I cannot find that country on the map. I suppose Turkey would try that to get admitted to the EU?

The Krone (crown) is typically a currency unit of Scandinavian countries. My avatar is a Krone from Norway. Turkey uses Lira I believe.

KurtS is right. Turkey = Lira. Also, Denmark uses Krone.

I believe JimR hit the nail on the head. That seller puts "Krony" in every title for visibility and for searches. You just happen to hit one for a Buffalo nickel.
