Thanks JB! I've got hundreds of little coins as I started a 'tiny' coin collection a couple years ago and so far have 298 coins.

This is a bit of a mess, but appealed to me as it fitted 2 of my criteria, tiny + bird, so I couldn't resist it.

I might get an upgrade for it one day.

Austria 100 Kronen 1924 #2832 17mm

You do like your birds.

That one has seen better days, but I do think it has found a good home.

Those things became famous a few years back as the world's lowest face value legal tender.

And to add to the thread, here's a few Roman AE4 nummi from the early 5th century (coin at 9 hours might be late 4th), plus (at 6 and 7 hours) two Byzantine pentanummia from a century later:

Yes, exactly! (1912-D, specifically.)

I originally wanted to feature those two nickels in my "guess the dates" contest (the one for my first CCF anniversary), but couldn't find them anywhere (having last seen them about two years earlier).

Had this for years, earlier today I accidentally discovered that it's a Travancore cash coin (India, 1901-10). Turns out they're pretty cheap and common.

These three German States coins, at 15-17 mm, are just 1-3 mm larger than a US $1 gold coin or silver Three Cent "trime." A Roosevelt dime will completely cover any of them.

The font difference. It is like Variety 1 and Variety 2 1976 Eisenhower dollars.
