#5 really had me fooled. I was sure it was 201 until you posted the pictures of #7 (202) and I started comparing the repunching on the R of GRATIA on the two obverses.

This thread should give us all a greater appreciation for the work Dr. Haxby had to do to put his catalog together.
Sorting hundreds of dies and putting them in chronological order!

The fact that the posters in this thread (and many others) are able to understand and use my catalog is very gratifying and makes it all worthwhile. In whatever kudos you throw my way please don't forget Ed (Nybirdy), my webmaster and assistant, who has also spent many hours on the catalog. Early on Ed offered his assistance and I jumped at it. That was the best decision I ever made. The second best decision was to listen to his suggestion that the catalog could be put on line. That allowed us to provide a more powerful tool than was possible with a print version and to make it available at no cost to the user.

We're tooling up to do a significant update to the 1859 catalog, including the addition of several new dies that have been discovered in the last year or so.

This year I'm also planning on line catalogs for a number of the dates of the Dominion Victorian cents. They'll be on a second site to assure that the 1859 site won't get too large.

Another thing I'm giving thought to is a means by which my on line catalogs can be made permanent, so they don't suffer the fate of the CCC Forum and just "disappear" one day! It's my hope to have that in place this year as well.

In the meantime have fun with the catalog and remember what old Jim says, "I never met an 1859 I didn't like!"

Hi Jim
I am having a lot of fun just knowing that I am getting them all right (so far)
But I do have to thank some one for sending them to me (golf markers and all) as without them the fun and knowledge would be nil.
Its the back ground persons(Ed) that does the work and there knowledge is (snap, snap, snap) doesn't look twice to know which is which---without them there would be no site.

6 more to go ---
Cheers Don

Are you sure it's not 75a1. 75a+P13. It's a pretty late state of P13 to be married to a 75 obverse without a diecrack on the A of VICTORIA.
