As with the rest of the date and initials on the other thread, the motto is damaged (flattened the devices). That is what you are seeing. Thanks for getting the closer images. They helped a lot. Now when we need larger images, you've figured out how to take them. (so not all is lost!)

question? for what reason would a coin look multi-colored, for example brownish purplish color, but the die and the coin still looks smooth and clean?
