Found This Coin While Metal Detecting My Yard Please Help Identify

I did some research on it and not sure if correct but it may be a British half penny from the late 1700's anyone have a bit more information on this sorry about the pictures best picture I could get the coin is in rough shape. Nyfireman Valued Member United States 218 Posts	Posted 05/08/2016 10:01 am It's just about an inch across but I have no way to weigh it but I will say that it very thin I tiny bit thinner then a penny still looking at Google and still can't really be 100% positive on what it is but it was found within two feet of a no date N rapped bust large cent that I pulled too Report this Post to the Staff

carabonnair New Member United States 11 Posts	Posted 06/01/2016 7:24 pm There is a fairly recent book (last year) on the subject: "Counterfeit Georgian Copper Coins". Check the library? The good news is that some of the counterfeits are worth more because they were made in America. The bad news is that yours looks genuine. Report this Post to the Staff
