Got mine. What a letdown. I was forced to return them on principle

Nothing I was joking commem. They look fine. 1 has a shot at 70. I'm surprised with such empty fields there wasn't more marring or debris strikethroughs. Seems like they learned a lesson from the c&c sets last year

I also has one coin with similar 'dot', at a different location. I will have to get pictures later tonight. I opened the capsule and it seemed to be a raised dot.... so may be something happened to the die.

SA4H - I didn't open the capsule but my dot looks flat and perfectly round.
It was on one of the S mint.

The dot could be acid. The acid that was used to frost the eagles head

Interesting read Foxwoods man. I'm still skeptical that they won't take advantage of "mintage limit:none" and make more though in some sort of special edition set that contains both medals. So this could either be a future key date to the series or a dud if they make more. I will probably hang on to mine though just because they are such nice looking medals.

If the Mint makes it a yearly issue then you know next year's mintage will go overboard...probably 75k OR mint to demand
