Yes.

The "God our Trust" was simular to the actual piece issued.

We bought that one last year in a Bowers auction. Loved it! Somedays I hate to sell these beauties, but until I figure out a way to live for free, they must go

Sorry back then there was NO MS system or numbers at all. The old system was used and Catman was the only individual in the nation to have a complete set. Fine, very fine, extremely fine and almost uncirculated but believe me when I say all were circulated!

I actually once found a 2 cent piece at work while once again disassmbling the coin counter when it jammed. It's not the prettiest coin, but it's gotta be one of my cooler finds! I displayed it on my keyboard at my teller station for a while, I got all sorts of comments on it- "Is that Canadian?" came up a lot. I get annoyed when the coin machine breaks down, but there's usually something good in it for me when I take it apart!

Nah, Catman still goes by the old grading system. I guess one might say he can grade by smell if need be? Nothing quite like high grade dino dung to up the value of a collection! He has adapted well through the years so his collection is probably stored all over Nevada!!!

Crystalk,

You are right.. I still have the set too. I put it together in the late 1960's in VF to AU. It hasn't left my sight yet. I guess that's what I get for being able to remember when Sputnik was lanuched in space, (LOL)

I wondered when you were going to weigh in on this matter Catman. Glad to hear you still have the collection. I am surprised it is not a "registry set" yet as you got to be #1! Do hate it that you had to go and mention "Sputnik" as I remember also and now you have me feeling old again! Funny thing about old Sputnik as that little piece of technology literally scared the crap out of a lot of people didn't it? Guess we must have caught up?
