This is part of the short set I'm building. so far 41-45 and a 44d. this and the 44 in my opinion are the 2 nicest I do a have a 45 ms64 pcgs and just won a 45s ms64 pcgs. I am so hoping this would make the 65 grade the luster and eye appeal are just awesome, I wish I could capture the luster in the pics.
Thanks for the help.

Grovey,

I give it a MS-63. The back is a little better than the front.

63 / 64, if the luster is good. There is a reed mark on Miss Liberty's head, and the middle skirt lines do not appear full, plus a few marks in the field that the scan is hiding.

Hi. Nice coin! I think a lot of what appears to be going on with this coin is actually problems with the holder. It looks like a good strike. Even though the photo is a little too blurry and shiny, there is some detail in the left hand which you wouldn't see if it were a weak strike. The reed-mark on Miss L's face is too serious to give this coin an MS65, but I think the apparant lack of any serious marks other than the reed mark, an MS64 would be fair.
Rest in Peace

Huh, 60 after you find the microscopic wheel mark.

Hey Grovey

Im gonna have to go with catman on this one, the hits on the face and left field of the obverse jump out at me , and the big one on the reverse will keep this coin at a 63.

Hi Rick,
I see what may be a hairline across the lettering on the reverse at 1-2 o'clock ,but have missed the big hit. Can you point it oout for me/
Thanks!

I have heard everything from 65 to 60...not feeling to confident right now. Maybe I'll just put in back in the safe deposit box. I almost don't want to know I did have high aspirations for it but right now I really don't want to know. might be too upsetting.

Grovey, this one is a 63. If you spent the extra money on a walk-through at a major show you may pick up a 64.

Thanks Rick.
Grovey-it's still a pretty coin. I know it is trite, but as long as you like the walker, whether it is a 63, 64 or 65 isn't critical. Most of US spend way more than the resale differential on dinner and a movie without putting much thought into it...
