2015 P Lincoln Cowlick Doubled Die Obverse / DDO ?

truman1404 Valued Member United States 284 Posts	Posted 06/21/2016 11:58 am I found this coin yesterday and it has some extra hair coming out towards the gap between WE and Trust. I wanted to get some opinions about it. At first I thought it was a die gouge or crack, but the way in which the lines flow made me think it might be a die error. Report this Post to the Staff

truman1404 Valued Member United States 284 Posts	Posted 06/22/2016 2:34 pm When I looked at this coin I thought it wasn't a die chip or crack because of the curved lines and how it appears to repeat the same pattern. Is this line of thinking totally off? Is there another defining characteristic that makes it obvious that this a chip/crack and not something else. Thanks for the help. I didn't want my first post to be a coin with Machine Doubling, and the wonderful question of "how much money is this worth"? I liked this coin so I started with it, now just trying to get a better understanding of what I'm looking at. Report this Post to the Staff
