I found this 1978 D Penny, the coin feels smooth and it is super thin ( weighs 2.9 on scale).

can someone tell me what kind of error this is ? and does the error add any considerable value to the coin and what it's worth?

to CCF. Just looks heavily worn or maybe sanded to me but it could be something else.

Definitely altered and probably sanded as Dustin6 mentioned. PSD. Not a mint error.

Looks like extreme wear to me, be it 'natural' or artificial, but nothing special. The only added value is that it's made of copper, which makes the metal used about 1,5 times the face value.
