BH1964, I had the same thought about authenticity.

Wogdog2, it would be best do a magnet test and weigh the coin. The reverse photo is out of focus.

If the weight checks out, it most likely is genuine. Good idea to have your coin shop check it out.

Looks like the coin was cleaned giving the surface an odd color in the photos. It's probably genuine but a details grade for cleaning.

It seems this coin may have had some damage from improper storage,PVC. Remember when I got it that it came in a little sandwich type bag. Put it in a acetone bath and surface has brightened a little bit.
