Hi

Somebody know what is those coins? I know the small are fanams, but the big (2.9 grams) , nobody is able to say me. Just to identify and label.

Writing on that coin looks like sanskrit (India)

Looks like a half pagoda, but I have never seen one with writing on both sides. It shoild have writing on one side and a Hindu deity on the other. See:

Does it check out as real gold? I have read that in the 50s and 60s, a lot of Indians did unofficial re-strikes of these coins (mainly fanams) from old soverigns. The fanams also concern me--I have never seen them with such large, flat details.
