Found this beauty while CRH-ing!
No idea as to grading, I'm a numisnewbie!
Glad for any thoughts. Luster is v nice, edge is reeded all the way around, v clean, no scratches. I'd take a guess as low MS or AU58, but just a guess. What say ye?

Great coin especially to be found in the wild like that.

Don't doubt your AU grade one bit though at first glance. Great looking fields on the front for a coin that has survived in the wild now for 66 years.

Don't want to guess first without any coffee in me, so I will pass along this instead.

Here is a link to PCGS Photograde to help you learn more about coin grading, not that we all don't love playing guess the grade as it keeps us sharp.

Welcome aboard too.

Nice CRH find! I'm at AU58 as well. I would guess someone's collection got dumped based on this. There may be more where that came from.

I am tempted to say this would me a MS coin. The 50D is not known to have a ton of luster. It is a touch coin in the higher end of MS.
Rest in Peace

AU-58 , This coin DID NOT circulate in the wild for 66 years . Has to be a recent collection dump not necessarily by the collector .

Agreeing with fromms: this coin doesn't have much luster by default. I guess MS-62 will do.
