This 1863 cent is in a PCGS MS-64 holder. I purchased it because it has blazing luster, has a sharp strike and there are only a couple of very tiny "carbon spots," which probably kept it from making MS-65. I paid retail for this because I view it as high end for the MS-64 grade. I am a little surprised that it did not get a "+".

That's two correct ones for me in a week's time! A new record!

It's beautiful, but it looks like there are enough marks on the neck and lower left obverse field to justify a straight 64.
