im aware its in awful condition , father in law found a few lovely silver shillings from 1630 found all together and the way silver is preserved is fantastic, ive only been doing the hobby for around a year, I think the coin I found is boronze? its pretty heavy, there is an l or an e in line with bottom of shoulder to.. I may give it another dip in the eloctralysis water zapper it was completely bare of any picture before I tried that.

i tried outlining as much as I could see and interpret..appears to have a broad jawline, pony tail, slightly puckered lips and a fairly large and defined nose and some kind of fabric in the neck area. it reminds me of a portrait iv'e seen on 1700's Spanish coins.
Feel free to call me Will.

Pony tail, puckered lips-could be an 18th century rock star!

I'd say it was a George III halfpenny of the 1770-1775 period - the weight is about right. Possibly a contemporary counterfeit.

I'd say it a John Wilkinson token from the late 1700's
