Since we are on the nickels topic anyone know anything on this for one it looks to be silver and his face looks like 2

I can tell you its not a 1968D in the 1968D hole. Looks like a 1959 from Philly. Also the coin above it in the album does not look like the correct coin for that spot either

Nice Jefferson set ...
from what I can see there are some very nice looking coins.

I think you were asking what coins to check out.
Some of the batter date coins when in BUmor better grade.
1939 D, 1942 D and 1950 D.

The 11 silver (war) nickels are good coins to have in BU or better.

--------------------------

This album is a old "Library of Coins" album. These albums are collectible
when they are in better shape.

I'm in love with that old book ! --- wow.

I expect it "is" hard to find them in good condition, as mentioned, though...

In regards to that 1968 hole being filled with the incorrect coin.... I would be checking EVERY single coin for accuracy of correct dates and correct mintmarks...

Fantastic set! I personally would get them out of that book tho. I am not sure that long term storage in that album is a good idea. I have the same album myself and put a secondary set in it. Haven't seem it for a long time.
I should check into it to see if it was a mistake myself. My best nickels are in snap closing capsules. Worth the investment.

I wouldn't worry about it if it were me. if they were going to damage the coins its like they would have by now. I recall reading that after a while the glues and other stuff that can out gas and cause toning eventually runs out of gas and basically becomes inert. Plus if my gramps put the set together I would keep it intact book and all.
