Jimper Thanks for pics So somebody mentioned the possibility of Big Coins being an annual release- It's likely best to go replica retro with this size so I'm guessing as somebody already suggested that the next series be more silver dollar commemoratives...and how cool would the 1949 SD look in 5 oz with gold enhancements

@Electrum Your very welcome. I mentioned earlier that the RCM should make a 1935, 1939, 1949, 1958, 1964, and 1967 set. a commemorative set to celebrate Canada's 150th. Maybe in a 2oz set. Now that would be cool and more affordable.

Your first pics got me a little excited, thought you had an upset die version with the goose flying upside down, still a very nice unit.

i agree, buy to add to a collection but it's naive to assume there's another world of Canadian Big silver dollar collectors with deep pockets just waiting on the sidelines ready to pounce on ebay listings.

Agreed, but there is additional type of collectors: a. people that want to be sure that coin is popular b. people who want to resell and waiting "first results" in case if above do not have spare CAD 550 to risk, they will wait, and then will buy... except this - who are the customers, that were ready to pay for replica of 1935 SD $800+ ?

That was truly an exclusive coin going mainly to high level mc who rarely sells so the coins are in good hands with few units available for resale. This coin like all the few hot units has many flippers, too many people expect their is an endless supply of buyers. not if there is still even subs available at issue prices.

What was learned in comparing the expectations for the 2013 gold superman and 2016 gold Star Trek.
