@ justsilver - in general, delta gold sold prices are not climbing. Yes the PF70 sold for a good price.

One auction a couple or days ago, Star Trek sold for $1500, I notice some listings now already in the $1700 range. Sellers are becoming impatient.....at more than 35 listed, the price will continue to drop imo. Reviews on RCM mention quality concerns as well, also a detriment to ebay sales.

@john100,

The big difference between the renewed 2 oz Voyaguer coin and this coin is the availability. This coin is readily available from dealers. There is no problem for flippers to load up by buying from multiple sources.

I noticed that there are few sellers are currently selling Delta Gold Coin as low as USD$1295 ( BIN ) = CAD$1,721

Which is still $421 above RCM's issue price CAD$1300.

We should be happy that RCM's Delta Gold Coin is one of extremly few RCM coins that has not been depreciated after coin releases.

The 2oz was also under a RCM limit of 1 per costumer, if I recall correctly.

I've noticed no buying limits on the 5oz.

We should, but it's only been just over a month since the coin was released. Most collectors are just barely settling in a spot to place their coin. Sellouts always create a short-term price increase to some extent but whether or not it's sustained over the longterm is unknown.

My opinion only, it's not looking hopeful. Too many flippers have their hand in the pie.

I agree with you. The Gold Delta is a keeper. I have 3 and
I am not selling them. Not all purchased from RCM but all at issue. Plus at CC&C, I used my accrued $100.00 credits. So that one I got for $1,200. Also purchased 2 silver deltas from The coin shoppe and got the 3% discount. They are awesome together with the Gold. I am very pleased with these purchases just like you:))))))

No one knows what the future holds. I believe these Deltas are true masterpieces.

Each of us no doubt likes different aspects of the coins.
But the single effort of RCM here, imo - is to cut the special shape.

Compare please design of "Kangaroo in the Sunset" and "Star Trek Gold Delta" ... both very simple, but.

If the Haunted Canada series had been packaged correctly, with a custom graphic collector case for all coins, the subscriptions would have probably sold more than the singles did aside from the first one. The maroon clamshell with the black sleeve was a mistake by the RCM. This set deserved to be showcased together with a "Haunted Canada" ventricular case to hold all of them.

Then again.....just my opinion.

I'm somewhat surprised that 2,150 sets and singles have not sold out yet. A lot of stated reasons here to like it, so what are some possible reasons why it's not sold out?
1. $500+ per coin, 5oz is just too costly to collect,
2. The average 5oz NCLT is younger and 1967 coins are like ancient history,
3. Circulation collectors are not interested in oversized replicas or (ahem, er "granny bait") .
4. Buyers are waiting for 2017, thinking the best of anniversary themes is yet to come.
5. Difficulty in buying singles (to flip or collect).
6. ?

This coin as expected a nice tribute as designed, most 5 oz. collectors can handle 3500.00 for set but with increased mintage of 650 there's no need to hurry plus the worry of a colour set . Most of the talk has been buying only the single to flip, flip to who if the subs are still available, even CCC, quickly changed pricing and marketing to force people to buy the subs, I guess due to slow sub sales, why pay almost 1/3 cost of a sub for 1 coin.

Good point, a 650 mintage increase on a collector base of 1500 is quite substantial, equals 44%.

If that base can be expanded through this series, it could substantially increase the demand of all prior issues. But if not, that increased mintage has a considerable downside, too much supply on limited demand.

No doubt 5oz of silver coins are a profitable product as the premium is considerable. It's far more cost effective to produce and sell one 6x5oz silver set than 30x1oz coins. If this set becomes a hit, I'd guess it's a test to open the door to other series in the future.

To add - I also don't get the logic that people would be willing to overpay $1000 for just one single Big Coin because they can't afford the $550 per coin set. Reminds me of the saying "a fool is soon parted with their money."
